Three of us attended Dr. Deb's clinic over the weekend. While we were only able to audit Saturday's session, it was so worth the twelve hour day and couple hundred mile drive! Deb's knowledge is profound and she has the gift of easily explaining the concepts of horsemanship, conformation and biomechanics. I encourage everyone to attend a clinic if at all possible. The most important piece I took home: seeing how little it takes to twirl the head! I have been using a bit too much pressure to obtain the head twirl. I thank you, DD, and I know my horses thank you too.

| Dr. Deb, Do you post your current clinic schedule somewhere (perhaps I am just missing it...)? I've looked on the homepage and all I can find is a class from last October. I would love to attend a class and/or clinic. Thank you!

Hello Ilaria,
I don't know if it is too far for you, but Dr Deb will be giving a clinic in Yacolt WA on June 10-12. The web-site to check is http://www.mustangmtranch.com. The airport to go into would be Portland Oregon, and the drive would be about 35-40 minutes north. If your interested let me know if I can be of any help as far as a ride, ect...

I also attended the weekend clinic in Wisconsin; it was my second up close and personal clinic - absolutely fantastic. The best part was I brought 3 friends to the clinic who had studied the conformation dvds with me. It was so cool to see them go nuts over all the excellent information. We are all so fortunate to have found someone to work with who has a brain ! God speed Dr. D.

Maybe we can convince Dr. Deb to come back and teach an anatomy (dissection) class. Minitube would be the perfect facility for it.
Midwesterners are hungry for some serious education and we can`t all fly to California when we are breeders, barn and stable managers with the responsibilties of our chargers and other peoples animals. Most everyone knows that horse people do NOT get vacations :-( I think by the large turnout for this clinic, it shows that people are willing to come to further their equine studies and are enthusiastic about the research that Dr. Deb has spent most of her life doing. If a person is a breeder then I think that participation at one of Dr. Debs clinics is essential, no matter what breed of horse a person is interested in producing. If a person shows horses, then it is essential to learn how to best preserve the soundness of horses with different kinds of conformation. If a person cares for their own horses, then why not learn as much as one can about biomechanics and maintenance (dentistry, trimming, feeding) as to preserve that animal`s longevity and usefullness.
The Wisconsin clinic was a very good clinic. I am sure there are more people like myself wanting to learn about the equine species from the inside out, which means attending an anatomy class.

| Count me in for any class DD wants to give here! And you are so right about us who have horses in our care needing this type of education. There are so few true horsemen left in the world, but DD is one of them. I have been a student of the horse for over 52 years now, and Deb's knowledge is so encompassing and logical that I am inspired to learn more about that which I would have not thought of before, such as anatomy. I hope there is another seminar soon.
