Dear Forum Folks -- I'm putting in a request today to all Forum users who have registered but who have never posted.
We have never pruned our user list, but because we are getting a spate of bogus registrations from pornographers and sellers of cheap pharmaceuticals, etc., whose web links may be virus-infected, illegal, or in some other ways dangerous, so that for all of our benefit we would like to get rid of them.
However, we cannot always tell who is legit and who is not. Addresses at "gmail.com" are automatically suspect, but there are some legitimate users who might be using this address -- so we can't take 'em out that way. Sometimes there is a hint of the malicious intention in the username -- but again, we can't always tell by that either.
The single best way we've come up with is to just note who posts and who does not, because this tells us who is actually using the Forum. We know that we have at least several thousand people who "lurk" and who never post, and that's just fine -- if you don't want to register, we're not asking you to. You will always be able to read the Forum -- no problem there.
But presumably, if a person goes to the trouble to register for our Forum, they are indicating some desire to post. And people like this are legitimate and welcome here.
SO -- what we're asking is that if you are a registered Forum user BUT you have NEVER posted, or if you have not posted for a very long time (a couple of years) -- then PLEASE just reply to this by posting in this thread. We will then be able to verify that you are a legitimate Forum user.
ALL OTHER NON-POSTING REGISTERED FORUM USERS WILL BE PURGED.
The purge date will be June 1st, to give everybody time to see this notice.

Hi, Dr. Deb and Company.
I'm reporting in as requested. When I again have a horse to ask questions about, I'll be making a pest of myself. Until that day, I really appreciate all those who do have horses and ask questions, and I must say how great Adam Tille's series on hoof mark-up was. I will be studying that for some time to come before I fully understand everything being done. I really appreciate having this site to come to. The only thing that could make it better would be to find all the contributions that were lost from the old ESI Forum. What a wealth of knowledge there was there. Thanks again.

Bruce, I'd appreciate two things from you. One, if you would post on the topic that the thread is supposed to be about. And two, not to ask questions merely in hopes that I will personally answer. When you ask a question that matters to me or that is of interest to me, rest assured, then I will answer.

Sorry I answered this post while not being logged in.
I would like to be registered, too. I`ve read this forum from the first page to page six now and found so much useful informations. I`m really looking forward to post remaining questions here when I´ve done more forum/articles/suggested literature reading.
