If any way off topic postings appear as a new topic or as a response, don't follow any links in those messages no matter how tempting. You are sure to pick up some type of malware or attempt at hacking your computer.
Dr Deb always removes these wayward messages when she finds them, but some may be around for a few hours before she has a chance.

I would also add that any post that DOES NOT ASK A SPECIFIC QUESTION but seems just a kind of general commentary -- even if it seems to be "on topic" -- has usually been posted by a spammer or some other nefarious sort.
An example of a suspicious post would be:
"I've heard about treeless saddles and they seem so soft and comfortable for the horse. I saw three people using them at the horse expo last week and they said they liked them."
This kind of post can lead you back to a spammer, if they leave some kind of link within the post (it is forbidden to post links here anyway, unless I give permission); or it can be a kind of come-on because the person making the posts is actually a salesperson who makes their living by getting commissions for selling treeless saddles, or whatever other bogus product. This space is not to be used for any commercial purpose, overt or covert.
And yes, I and my staff do patrol this Forum very regularly -- several times per day at least -- and we do pull bogus posts as fast as we detect them. However, several hours or sometimes a day or so can elapse and in that case our good readers will just have to use caution. -- Dr. Deb

Reading up on Unrefined Sea Salt and came across a post that may have gotten in under the radar. Page 2, second to last, guest labixiaoxin. What the heck????!!!
And thank you for putting me on the right research track in regard to the inquiry on head throwing syndrome. I am waiting to hear from Jenny and in the meantime picked up the "stringy" flymask.
